Robert G. Burch is a glass artist based between Colorado, North Carolina and New York. He began apprenticing in a factory setting around age 16 but later on attended Pilchuck Glass School shortly before making the jump to the mecca of glass working: Seattle, Washington.
His creative concept is meant to shed light on the fact that he takes our (mis)treatment of our planet into profound consideration when conceptualising and materialising his artworks. 90% of the glass that he makes is made at an environmentally considerate glass studio in Jackson County where the reheating furnaces are fuelled by the bio decomposition of trash.
